A new chapter begins! For almost 20 years, K.E have been a 3 piece band, but in 2026, we are happy to announce the addition of the phenomenal Jorj Dino on lead guitar! The first time we got together to jam, Jorj brought a presence that fit right in, then we let him rip with the songs. The riffs and guitar lines he created enhanced the songs so well, it felt like they were meant to be there the entire time. Jorj fit perfectly, like the last piece of the puzzle. A message from K.E. Kill Effect was created in 2007, and after the initial few years of finding a balance, the 3 pieces of the puzzle that would engine the train for the next decade came together in 2010. Through highs and lows, watching bands and friends come and go, playing festivals in front of thousands, to dive bars in front of staff, the train kept moving. Life happened and after a short hiatus, the band returned to a different kind of scene, where mostly all our connections were gone, leaving us basically back at square one. We attempted to get back out to continue to establish our name, but were met with road blocks and seemingly ignored by many of the promoters and venues in our area. We were mislabled and pushed aside simply because of one word in our name (KIIILLLL!!!!), leaving the band stuck spinning our wheels in the mud. In 2020, after 10 years, one of the three pillars of the band decided to step away. We decided to continue on, work on new music and when the time was right, attempt to find a third member. Then, the world shut down, which was fine, as we had music to write and record. When we felt ready, we were on the hunt to complete the 3 piece band once again and get the train back on track. We contemplated changing our name, in hopes that it would turn our luck around, but the more we thought about how much time, work and effort we sunk into the band and name, it made no sense to us. After a few more bumps, a couple more restarts, we finally locked in a bassist and we were able to play the odd show here and there thanks to new friends. We released 2 songs from the upcoming EP with 2 new self shot, self edited music videos. Things were moving again, but just as we got a little bit comfortable, a technical issue occured, and we basically lost the remaining 4 songs that were to be released on the new EP. As always, we decided to just keep on going, however, after a lackluster 2025, it was time to make some decisions. We joke that Kill Effect is "the oldest band you've never heard of", but in reality we have a long history with many stories, and we feel it's time to close yet another chapter in the book of K.E.... and start a new one....

It's a cross over event in Oshawa! Saturday November 15th, Kill Effects own Shawn Lockrey will be filling as drummer for the band '@hellaphantband' , which also features K.E's Jason Watts on bass, opening up for 'Random Killing' and Canadian punk rock legends 'Forgotten Rebels'. Hellaphant are on at 8pm. If you are in the Oshawa Ontario area, come check it out at the @biltmoretheatre, tickets are almost sold out! Additionally, the Effect are working behind the scenes right now on several things and we will have some exciting news coming shortly!

A few months ago, K.E were approached about assisting in creating a song that would accompany an upcoming book on the now defunct London Gardens/ London Ice House located in London Ontario. The historic venue hosted many hockey teams including the hometown London Knights as well as music acts ranging from The Rolling Stones, the Dave Clarke Five, Kiss, Bryan Adams, Motorhead and many more, and is famously known as the place Johnny Cash proposed to June Carter during a concert in 1968. We worked with the author to co-write "London Treasure", an arena rock style anthem we imagine could blast through the speakers during a game to get the crowd pumped.
